Springdale Wish-list

Here at Springdale we are fortunate indeed to be surrounded by hundreds of pieces of vintage Heywood-Wakefield furniture. Much time, energy and road miles are expended in the constant search for pieces to rescue. Yes Virginia, there is no Heywood-Wakefield warehouse from which we can order. Our inventory comes through diligent detective work, psychic prowess and fervent prayer.

This is just one of the storage units that house all of the Springdale pieces that are waiting for an opening at the busy Springdale Rehabilitation Institute (SRI). There are pieces that have made it through the rejuvenating stay at SRI, but have yet to make it to the mainstages of the shop in Three Oaks or to this web site. Sadly, as much as we can acquire, there's no way we can have ALL the pieces at the same time. Consequently, patient Heywood-Wakefield fans have given us Wish Lists for years. But it's been an unwieldy and haphazard system—much as it pains us to admit.

So it's with great pleasure we can at last unveil the exclusive Springdale "Select-O-Matic Shopper." This breakthrough in Wish List technology is the result of many months of clinical trials and laboratory research. Our crack team of cyber-scientists (spear headed by Mom—who devoted endless hours…or rather as many hours as she could; given all her charity work, the bridge club and that ever so slight drinking problem) have encoded Heywood wishes in a revolutionary format that will accurately place each Heywood "wisher" in the best position to acquire that certain "objet d' birch"…as soon as it arrives at Springdale.

You see…by filling out certain "fields" with specific "information," the Wish List becomes "digitized" (and mixed with fruit juice, it's delicious!). Oh but enough technology, suffice it to say the exclusive Springdale "Select-O-Matic Shopper" will forever change the fundamentals of Wish processing.
