Jump

Here at Springdale, we're just beside ourselves with excitement over "Between the Dim and the Dark."

No… it's not a newly discovered vintage Heywood-Wakefield stain… it's the title of the freshly minted, brand new, top quality CD by the official band of Springdale: Jump.

Formerly known as Jump, Little Children; the 5 bandmembers evidently made a New Year's resolution to shed a few excess letters. We've heard they underwent a cutting edge, experimental, surgical vowel and consonant stapling procedure.

While it was quite risky (and not recommended for those who need to lose just a letter or 2), the operation was a complete success.

To date, they've actually lost a total of 14 letters! Consequently, the band now goes by the newly svelte moniker of Jump!

Here at Springdale we congratulate them, and wish them well in keeping those annoying excess letters from creeping back on.

While the name gets smaller, the music gets bigger (and better—if that's even possible).

"Between the Dim and the Dark" features 10 amazing songs. Somehow, (through some secret, talent infused formula) Jump are able to place individual "notes" in specific patterns. When these patterns are followed (through the playing of musical instruments), the results are the creation of actual melodies! We're thoroughly—flabbergasted!!!!

Through the use of various musical instruments (actually played by members of the band!), the singing of lyrics (actually sung by the band!), and the judicious use of vocal harmonies (actually vocalized by the band!), Jump have come up with a CD so good that we can't imagine anyone who likes music NOT falling in love with it." Between the Dim and the Dark" is the sound of a band in full possession of their considerable musical talents.

In our world, it's a multi-platinum sensation. We've just got to help everyone else catch on.

They're not to be missed! As for our non-Chicago friends, keep an eye out for any Jump performances in your area.
