Springdale Blockparty - SPRINGSTOCK

Here at Springdale, we fancy ourselves to be deep thinkers. Frequently we take time to ponder life's many imponderables.
Recently, Hair has been on our minds (as well as our heads).
No …not the stuff rooted in our scalps, but the 1960's musical.
Even more specifically, we've been waxing philosophic over the song "The Age of Aquarius," Rado-Ragni-MacDermot's ode to all things hippie begins thusly:"When the moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars…"
Well… We want to know… just who gets to furnish the seventh house? And for that matter, just who furnished the first six?
So, in our bid to be the ones who furnish the seventh house (and to get our foot in the door for the all-so-important eighth house), we are dedicating our 5th annual summer party to all things tie-dyed.
Ladies and Gentleman… Let there be:

Springstock
On August 27th 2005, Springdale will host our summer party beginning at 6 p.m. and continuing until everybody looks like Wavy Gravy.
There will be peace, love, food, beverages (style aplenty, natch) and (in the timeless words of Teresa Brewer) music… music… music.
We're very fortunate this year in that Jimi Hendrix… Janis Joplin… David Crosby's posthumous liver… will no doubt be there in spirit, as we are enthralled by the music stylings of Sunday Runners, Chicago's favorite son: Nicholas Tremulis Orchestra… and (in a triumphant Springdale return) our faves : Jump (Little Children).
Please join the Springdale nation as we party like it's 1969.
